The Firefly Survival Poncho provides protection from the intense heat and flames of a fire so you can quickly move to safety without harming yourself or others. Oversized ponchos slip on easily and offer plenty of room inside for children or pets. Aluminized fiberglass construction resists heat up to 1650 degrees F. Size: Adult and Child.

The use of a smoke hood is strongly recommended along with this poncho.

We suggest you open the package, inspect the poncho and try it on once. The poncho is not designed to be tried on several times. Fold the poncho and carefully repack it.

Product designed for single use. Not washable.

Limits of use:

This equipment is designed to escape fires and must not be used for fire fighting.

Only fire fighting professionals (firemen, safety services etc..) are allowed to intervene.

The Poncho should be worn with the metallic side facing out.

This product has a 5 year shelf life starting from the date of manufacture.

Performance:

This equipment conforms to international norms NF/EN/ISO 15025/2003 for limited flame propagation: result A (pass).

NF/EN 367 with NF/EN 531 for convective heat: result B1.

NF/EN/ISO 6942/2002 with NF/EN 531/1995 classification for radiant heat: result C3. This test is the most appropriate for the poncho as it tests radiant heat: the result indicates that it takes 121 seconds for the temperature inside the poncho to increase by 24c (75F).

Firefly has successful undergone Fire Service live testing for 15 minutes at 900c (1650F).
